The CA 8345 is a Class A Qualistar power and energy quality analyser.
Like the Qualistar+ models, it is equipped with an intuitive HMI and remains simple to use. Multilingual online help can be displayed at any time on the large LCD colour touch screen. A virtual keyboard is available in all modes and is displayed automatically on the HMI as soon as input is required to: - lock the configuration with a password - type emails directly
Easy to handle, it is intended for inspection and maintenance teams working on industrial or tertiary installation. I can be used to obtain a snapshot of the main power quality parameters. The Qualistars can be used on any type of installation. For greater safety, the CA 8345 automatically recognizes the type of current sensor connected. The CA 8345 offers high measurement accuracy. It proposes numerous calculated values and several processing functions. It offers users all the measurements required for successful energy efficiency projects and electrical distribution monitoring. It is also possible to immediately find out the value of the electricity consumed by means of an electricity cost calculation. The CA 8345 can display harmonics and interharmonics as required by IEC 61000-4-7 up to the 127th order. At the same time, it detects the carrier currents flowing on the installation. Flicker measurements are performed according to the IEC 61000-4-15 standard. The CA 8345 monitors all the events on the network:
- Trend diagram, variations of the signal parameters
- Configurable alarms, with the possibility of sending users email alerts
- 2.5 µs transients
- 12 kV shockwaves lasting 500 ns
- TrueInrush, with a pre-trigger, to capture the startups of all the loads….
A Monitoring mode can be used to record measurement campaigns for analysis according to EN50160.
Communication In addition to SD cards and USB drives, it is possible to recover the measurements and communicate remotely with the CA 8345 using USB, remote links, Wifi (direct WAP or via server) or RJ45. An IRD server mode allows data extraction from anywhere in the world without threatening the security of the internet network. The Power Analyser Transfer PAT3 software can be used to process the measurements made with the Qualistar Class A. It can be downloaded from our support site. The Qualistar CA 8345 is certified as compliant with Class A of the IEC 61000-4-30 ed4 standard

There are several ways to carry out the update:
- Copy the ‘Q2-update’ update file from the compressed file you downloaded onto a USB stick and insert it into the device’s port.
- Copy the ‘Q2-update’ file that you have downloaded onto an SD card and insert it into the device’s port.
- Switch the device off, then switch it back on in the specific firmware update mode. See the user manual, section 3.3.6

To download this software, please click on the file named ‘x05077h00_pat3_1.8.zip’ and then extract it. Once this is done, double-click on ‘Setup.exe’ to install it.
The PAT 3 software is a tool that allows you to:
- Configure your CA 8345,
- Download and view data in memory,
- Take instantaneous measurements,
- Display data as tables or graphs,
- Export this measurement data to DataView (*.dvb files) or to a spreadsheet.
Once the PAT 3 software is installed, you can download the “Sample” files below, which are available for your use. To do this, download the file and then unzip it. Once this is done, save the file to /DataView/DataFiles/Qualistar Class A.

SCPI order booklet for the CA 8345 so that you can integrate your product in a system. It will enable your system's software to control your CA 8345 remotely.
DataView® is a paid ‘logical’ platform common to all products, enabling advanced analyses. However, each product has its own Control Panel (which is free to use) for carrying out simple analyses. These Control Panels can be downloaded from the relevant product’s web page or from the Support section of the website.
The Data® software is an essential tool for configuring, initiating measurements, viewing data in real time, retrieving recorded data and creating standard or customised measurement reports.

Easy to use, the Data® software automatically recognises the device connected to the PC, allowing the user to access the data stored in the device, its settings and real-time data directly.
Data® automatically generates measurement reports or creates new customised reports on demand. Finally, this tool offers numerous additional functions for the user’s convenience or for more in-depth analysis: zooming in on graphs to analyse specific sections on display; on-demand display of various recorded parameters; exporting the displayed data to Excel; linking and integrating objects (OLE), etc.
Data allows address details for customers, work sites, etc. – extracted from a database – to be automatically linked to measurement reports. The devices connect to the PC via USB, RS232, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, depending on the model.
DataView is available in the following languages: German, English, Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Czech and Turkish.
