The CA 8343 is a Class A Qualistar power and energy quality analyser.

Easy to handle, it is intended for inspection and maintenance teams working on industrial or tertiary installation. I can be used to obtain a snapshot of the main power quality parameters. The Qualistars can be used on any type of installation. For greater safety, the CA 8343 automatically recognizes the type of current sensor connected. The CA 8343 offers high measurement accuracy. It proposes numerous calculated values and several processing functions. It offers users all the measurements required for successful energy efficiency projects and electrical distribution monitoring. It is also possible to immediately find out the value of the electricity consumed by means of an electricity cost calculation. The CA 8343 can display harmonics and interharmonics as required by IEC 61000-4-7 up to the 63th order. At the same time, it detects the carrier currents flowing on the installation. Flicker measurements are performed according to the IEC 61000-4-15 standard. The CA 8343 monitors all the events on the network:

• Trend diagram, variations of the signal parameters
• Configurable alarms, with the possibility of sending users email alerts
• 2.5 µs transients
• TrueInrush, with a pre-trigger, to capture the startups of all the loads….

A Monitoring mode can be used to record measurement campaigns for analysis according to EN50160.

Communication In addition to SD cards and USB drives, it is possible to recover the measurements and communicate remotely with the CA 8343 using USB, remote links, Wifi (direct WAP or via server) or RJ45. An IRD server mode allows data extraction from anywhere in the world without threatening the security of the internet network. The Power Analyser Transfer PAT3 software can be used to process the measurements made with the Qualistar Class A. It can be downloaded from our support site.
