The MX 5006 is a compact, lightweight and robust bench-top multimeter.
Its handle allows the device to be positioned for optimal viewing of its large 2 x 6,000-point display with a bright, high-contrast bar graph (61 segments) and backlighting.

In addition to standard functions (voltage, current, resistance, continuity, diode test, capacitance, frequency:period), this multimeter offers extended analysis and diagnostic assistance functions:
- Measurement monitoring with MAX/Min (100 ms) / PEAK (1 ms) recordings
- Differential measurement and relative measurement in %
- Low input impedance VLowZ to eliminate so-called "phantom" voltages
- PWM filter for stable measurements on variable speed drives (asynchronous motor).
and for added safety:
- 3 terminals that limit handling errors with full current autoranging from 50µ to 20 A.
- 1000V CAT III
