The CA 1246 is a 3-in-1 instrument for measuring relative humidity, ambient temperature and dew point. Equipped with a large backlit display, the CA 1246 has all the functions you need in the field, such as Min, Max and Hold, as well as one-off or programmable memory options. With USB or Bluetooth connectivity, alarms and threshold recording triggers can be programmed using the Data Logger Transfer software.

PLEASE NOTE: This update requires version v4.xx of the device’s embedded software.
To update the device’s Bluetooth module, follow the procedure below:
- Download and unzip the file FW bt122_xxxx.zip, then copy the file BT122_xxxx.bin to the device.
- Switch on the device and press the Bluetooth button.
- Wait approximately one minute for the PASS/FAIL message to appear.
- If the PASS message is displayed, the BT122_xxxx.bin file will be renamed to BT122_FW.bin and must be kept on the device.
- The Bluetooth module is now up to date.
To update your product, please first check your firmware version by holding down the following two buttons: the centre button and the MEM/REC button.
If your product has a 4.xx version, please download the 4.xx firmware.
To update your product:
- Once you have downloaded the .bin file from our website that matches your product’s model number, hold down the MEM button and then switch on the device by pressing the ON/OFF button. The device will display ‘BOOT’.
- Release the buttons and the device will display ‘COPY’, indicating that it is ready to receive the new firmware.
- Connect the device to your PC using the USB cable supplied.
- Copy the .bin file onto the device, as you would with a USB stick.
- Once the copy is complete, press the MEM button and the device will display ‘LOAD’, indicating that the firmware is being installed.
- When the installation is complete, the device will display ‘PASS’ or ‘FAIL’ depending on whether it was successful or not. If it fails, download the firmware again and repeat the procedure.
- The device will then restart normally.

The Data Logger Transfer software is a tool that enables you to:
- Configure the devices,
- Download and view data stored in memory,
- Take instant readings,
- Display data in the form of tables or graphs,
- Generate automatic reports in Word .docx format,
- Export this measurement data to DataView (*.dvb files) or to a spreadsheet.
