MTX 3297Ex - TRMS digital multimeter with intrinsic safety

on the instrumentation market: the MTX 3297Ex, an intrinsically safe multimeter intended for
permanent use in Ex explosive atmospheres.

SPECIALLY FOR ATEX/IEC Ex ENVIRONMENTS

Approved and certified for the highest levels of risk, the MTX 3297Ex is a Category 1 instrument which complies with the strictest requirements.

• ATEX certification has been adopted by the countries in the European Union, as well as several other European countries
• IEC Ex certification, developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), aims to harmonize and simplify the certification of equipment for hazardous areas on a worldwide basis

The MTX 3297Ex is ATEX and IEC Ex-certified for zones IIC (gas) 0, 1 and 2, zones IIIC (dust) 20, 21 and 22, and mines M1, allowing permanent use in all zones in the oil, chemicals, pharmaceutical and mining industries.

UNRIVALLED ERGONOMICS AND RUGGED DESIGN FOR THIS MULTIMETER

Recognizable from its large 2 x 60,000-count backlit display and its moulded red casing, the MTX 3297Ex offers excellent grip and optimum protection against shocks. It includes a terminal strip with a reminder of the connections, a single terminal for current measurement with detection and automatic switching between V and A, and indicates the presence of dangerous voltages.

The backlit electronic switch offers direct access to the measurements by means of a function key.

IP67*, the MTX 3297Ex is guaranteed liquid and dust-proof, thus maintaining its performance levels and specifications.

Outside explosive zones, the MTX 3297Ex is a genuine advantage thanks to its compliance with the IEC 61010-2-033 standard, up to 1000 V CAT III and 600 V CAT IV.

It measures voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, diode, frequency and temperature, with optimum accuracy thanks to its 60,000-count resolution and 100 kHz bandwidth.
