INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTOMATIC UPGRADE:

1.) Switch on the power supply.

2.) Connect the instrument to a PC using a serial or an USB(*1*) cable.

3.) Extract the attached zip file.

4.) Double click on the "upgrade-automatic.vbs" file. This should start the FlashMe application.

5.) Select the com port, to which the instrument is connected to. If you're using an USB connection look for a com port, which in it's description contains the words "MeasuringInstrumentUsb".

6.) Click the RUN button and afterward click the CONTINUE button.

7.) Wait until FlashMe signals the end of firmware upgrade.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR MANUAL UPGRADE:

1.) Switch on the power supply while simultaneously holding down the ENTER key, until the FlashMe logo appears on the instruments screen.

2.) Connect the instrument to a PC using a serial or an USB(*1*) cable.

3.) Extract the attached zip file.

4.) Double click on the "upgrade-manual.vbs" file. This should start the FlashMe application.

5.) Select the com port, to which the instrument is connected to. If you're using an USB connection look for a com port, which in it's description contains the words "MeasuringInstrumentUsb".

6.) Click the RUN button and afterward click the CONTINUE button.

7.) Wait until FlashMe signals the end of firmware upgrade.



(*1*) When using an USB connection for the first time, operating system will inform you, that it needs to install the USB driver. Cancel the automatic installation and manually point the installer the folder to which the zip file was extracted to. This folder must contain the file "vcom.inf".
You can also do this manually. Open the device manager, find the device (MeasuringInstrumentUsb), right click and select "Upgrade  driver software". Point to the folder containing the file "vcom.inf".
